Daily TEA- Space, Satellites & Decentralized Frontiers
Space Tech, Satellite Apps, Stablecoins, Bitcoin Utility, Spacecoin
Hello, dear TEA-mates, here’s what you missed today:
1.🚀 Arc Spacecraft Unveiled to Revolutionize Global Cargo Delivery
Inversion, a Los Angeles-based startup, has introduced the Arc spacecraft—a vehicle designed to deliver up to 500 pounds of supplies anywhere on Earth within an hour. The company plans to pre-position these spacecraft in orbit for up to five years, ready to launch cargo at a moment’s notice for uses such as military medical supplies or drones. Arc, built as a lifting-body craft that lands without a runway, aims for a first launch by the end of 2026. The technology was previewed with a smaller test craft, and Inversion, now with 60 employees, is racing to make reusable space storage and logistics a near-term reality. Read More
🫖 TEA For Thought: Essentially, this is storage in space where it’s safe and ready to be shipped to anywhere in the world at command. Definitely a great vision. Till the cost of sending it to space, and if it can be made reusable, space storage is not a dream far away.
2.📶 T-Mobile Expands Satellite App Connectivity with Starlink
T-Mobile has expanded its T-Satellite service powered by Starlink, enabling users without Wi-Fi or cellular connection to access supported apps through satellite. Popular apps like Google Maps, AllTrails, AccuWeather, CalTopo, X, WhatsApp (text, voice, video), onX, and T-Life now function over satellite, joining existing native apps like Google Messages, Find Hub, Pixel Weather, Apple Music, Weather, and Fitness. Satellite links automatically activate when out of terrestrial range, providing critical, tailored content in remote areas. The service is included with certain T-Mobile plans or available for $10/month, and is open to non-T-Mobile users as well. Read More
🫖 TEA For Thought: This comment is intriguing: “What makes an app supported or not? Serious question. Is T-Mobile limiting it to low-bandwidth apps, or do they somehow request some money from apps to be whitelisted?”
This plus the Spacecoin—when future satellites are decentralized—the future is really all up there in space.
3.🔄 Circle Considers Reversible Stablecoin Transactions for User Protection
Circle, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, is exploring a system allowing stablecoin transactions on blockchains to be reversed under certain circumstances, such as scams or theft. The move aims to address growing regulatory and consumer protection pressures. While framed as a safeguard to help recover lost funds, the proposal stirs debate over centralization risks within supposedly decentralized financial systems. Read More
🫖 TEA For Thought: Again, using “help victim recover scammed/stolen funds” would always be the very first reason government told you to surrender control, to do KYC/AML. All the control and oppression starts from “I do this, because this is good for you. I am doing this all for your own good.”
4.💸 Why Spending Bitcoin Matters for Adoption
Experts argue that hoarding Bitcoin as “digital gold” limits real world adoption, countering Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision for a peer-to-peer cash system. Saving Bitcoin creates a barrier to its use as “actual money,” while spending it in everyday purchases grows utility, merchant acceptance, and the overall Bitcoin economy. In regions with unstable local currencies, using Bitcoin for transactions can shield against inflation, drive practical adoption, and turn digital currency revolution into reality. The community is encouraged to use two wallets: one for savings and one for spending, echoing that adoption happens through actual use, not just holding for price appreciation. Read More
🫖 TEA For Thought: This is a practical example for us to understand what makes money money. What is money for? After all, it’s a medium of exchange, needs to be useful, can store value—stable, and people need to have trust in it—making it transferable between different parties. When bitcoin is hoarded but not exchanged, it loses the very meaning of being money—medium of exchange. No exchange, no money.
5.🛰️ Spacecoin Demonstrates First Satellite Blockchain Transaction for Decentralized Internet
Spacecoin has successfully transmitted encrypted blockchain data between continents via its demo satellite, validating the promise of decentralized, space-based communications. Unlike managed networks like Starlink, Spacecoin’s model relies on “tokenized access” and blockchain-driven decentralization to deliver global, censorship-resistant internet. The milestone paves the way for future launches and the creation of “Starmesh,” an encrypted network designed to provide untraceable web access and decentralized services, running on the Creditcoin blockchain. Spacecoin aims to empower users with internet access independent of terrestrial monopolies, outages, and censorship. Read More
🫖 TEA For Thought: All the data on chain, and stored in space, where it’s pretty much war-immutable, safe. There’s even no need for power—solar power is right there, so green energy. Decentralized, encrypted, safe. The future of finance is on chain and in space.
