Daily TEA — Notion Agents, Metaverse Revival & ETF Rule Changes
Notion, Zuckerberg, Surgery AI, SEC, India AI Trends
Hello, dear TEA-mates! Here’s what you need to know today:
1.🤖 Notion Debuts AI Agents for Automated Data Analysis and Task Creation
Notion has unveiled its first AI agent, designed to automate the creation and analysis of pages, meeting notes, and reports by leveraging user content across all Notion databases. The new agent can update tasks, aggregate data from integrated sources like Google Drive and Slack, and even “remember” key details as directed by the user, all within custom profile pages. Currently, actions require manual triggers, but future releases will introduce scheduled and event-based automations, along with a library of agent templates. Read More (TechCrunch)
🫖 TEA For Thought: As a dedicated Notion user in the past 3 years, this is awesome. We will see how the UX is.
2.🕶️ Zuckerberg Bets on AI to Reboot His Metaverse Vision
At Meta Connect 2025, Mark Zuckerberg spotlighted two major innovations: an AI-powered assistant for instant metaverse creation using text prompts, and “Hyperscape Capture,” which scans physical spaces with a Quest headset to replicate them virtually. These advancements aim to accelerate 3D design, making the metaverse accessible for use cases in training, real estate, and workplaces, despite past struggles for adoption and profit. The big question: will AI solve the fundamental use case problem for the metaverse? Read More (XR Today)
🫖 TEA For Thought: Zuckerberg and his dream of Metaverse that cost billions with no profits, now revived by AI? I think the pain point is not the difficulty to build the environment, but the use case. What does metaverse do? What problems does it solve? Without this, all of the fancy functions will just be a buzz.
3.🏥 AI Surpasses Doctors in Predicting Deadly Post-Surgery Complications
Johns Hopkins researchers have developed an artificial intelligence model that extracts hidden signals from routine pre-surgical ECGs to predict potentially fatal complications after surgery, such as heart attacks or strokes. The fusion model, which integrates ECG data with patient medical records, achieved an 85% accuracy rate, far outperforming traditional risk scores and offering a new path for surgical risk assessment. 🫖 TEA For Thought: News like this make me feel so hopeful.
4.📈 SEC Streamlines Crypto ETF Listings, Approves Grayscale's Large-Cap Fund
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has simplified the approval process for spot crypto ETFs, allowing exchanges to list these products without case-by-case regulator consent. Grayscale’s large-cap crypto fund was among the first to benefit, signaling a shift that could enable a wave of new cryptocurrency ETFs. The ruling draws attention to the classification of crypto assets as commodities, especially for supply-capped coins. Read More (CoinDesk)
🫖 TEA For Thought: This is definitely huge. We will see more and more crypto ETFs in the upcoming months. One thing though that stands out to me, is that they define cryptos as commodities, for coins that have max cap, I understand and agree. However, with coins that do not cap, which is pretty all the altcoins, funnily, except memecoins—which do have supply cap. I guess it’s just a game of capital.
5.📸 India Turns Google's Nano Banana AI Image Tool into a Viral Trend Engine
India has become the top user country for Google’s Nano Banana image-generation model, creating viral trends ranging from retro AI Bollywood portraits to figurine-style selfies and “AI saree” transformations. The Gemini app, powered by Nano Banana, leads both Android and iOS app downloads in the country, driving creativity and engagement but also sparking privacy concerns over personal photo uploads. 🫖 TEA For Thought: Humans’ creativity is just unleashed with the augmentation of AI tools.
Prompt Tip of the Day
Turn anyone into a game-ready Chibi pixel character
Turn the image on the right into chibi pixel art like the character on the left. Huge head. Tiny body.
Low-res grid. Cute exaggeration. Game-ready look.
